Russian Tea

Artist:
Beetle Bros

ARTIST BIO:
Niels Mikkelsen a danish saxophonist and composer & Pilou Thomsen a programmer and pianist met in a park one fine summers evening discussing donuts of all things. True story. And so struck up a friendship that eventiually went on to them writing together, initially just jamming for fun, but when people started enjoying what they were producing they started working together on some projects. They have worked with artists such as The Nazarenes, Roots Harmonics Band, Earl Sixteen and Lutan Fyah. In 2009 they released their first instrumental saxophone and Piano album Pianasax, and have since released several albums, all composed and recorded by themselves in their own project studio Basement Recordings.

SONG DESCRIPTION:
Russian Tea is a song about keeping things tidy if you know what we mean. It may not translate to English very well but in Denmark we talk often about how your environment can define who you are, just as how your are will often define your environment. We wanted to do something that took this way of thinking and gave it a Slavic twist. We find there are some similarities there. Its as much an experiment as it is a piece of music. We hope you enjoy. The Beetle Brothers x
